ON THE DAY
Huddersfield Pink Picnic at Lumb Head Farm, Castle Hill, runs from 12noon till 7pm on Sunday 25th July 2010.
The Huddersfield Pink Picnic costs thousands of pounds each year to stage yet is the largest free Pride festival in Yorkshire. To keep it that way we need donations or a voluntary contribution of 3 pounds, so please give generously as you pass through the gate.
This year's attractions include:
- THE MAIN STAGE WITH LIVE ACTS AND DJS
- PRIDE ART ACTIVITY AND EXHIBITION
- INFORMATION STALLS
- MARKET STALLS
- THE GREYHOUND BEER TENT
- FOOD STALLS
- FUN FAIR
We are hoping for another fantastic day up at Castle Hill on our 24th Huddersfield Pink Picnic. The following info should help you get the best out of your day.
Plan for the weather, drinking water is a must and sun cream or a rain coat. Last year umbrellas were used as sun shades.
If you plan to picnic and relax on the field you will need your own seating or blanket.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Due to the licensing of the event you cannot bring your own alcohol to the Pink Picnic this year.Strictly no barbecues or fires.
Please, please bag up your rubbish and dispose of it sensibly, volunteers have to make the field spotless again afterwards ready for the farm's use.
Please note there are no cashpoint facilities at or near the picnic.
Afterwards the partying continues at The New Union and The Greyhound bars in the town centre.
